Position Title: Weekend Housekeeper

Location: The Loopy Shrew and At Home Apartments, Shrewsbury

Job Summary: The Loopy Shrew and At Home Apartments, are vibrant and welcoming establishments in the heart of Shrewsbury and seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Weekend Housekeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will ensure that our guest rooms, self-contained apartments and public areas are clean, tidy, and inviting, contributing to an excellent guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and Maintenance:
• Thoroughly clean guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas according to the hotel’s standards.
• Change bed linens, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and fittings.
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors.
• Remove waste and recyclables and ensure proper disposal.
• Guest Interaction:
• Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ensure guest privacy and security, adhering to all safety and security protocols.
• Inventory Management:
• Monitor and report the status of room supplies and amenities.
• Inform the supervisor of any maintenance issues or safety hazards in guest rooms and public areas.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with other housekeeping staff and hotel personnel to ensure a seamless and efficient operation.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
• Compliance:
• Follow established health and safety regulations.
• Adhere to the hotel’s policies and procedures, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Qualifications:

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required.

Working Hours:

• Saturday and Sunday shifts, with potential for additional hours during peak periods or as needed.
